What we do and do not collect.

What runs locally

All calculator math (SIP, EMI, FD, GST, salary, HRA, etc.) and the decision tools — including your Financial Health Score — run in your browser. The numbers you enter never leave your device.

What we fetch

Live currency rates are fetched from our own Cloudflare Worker (which proxies Yahoo Finance + open.er-api.com). Only the currency pair you view is requested — no identifying info is attached. Cached 15 minutes.

Advertising & third-party cookies

We show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Ads are never personalised using anything you type into our calculators — those figures never leave your device.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a server-side, cookie-free, privacy-respecting visitor counter. No personal IDs, no cross-site tracking, no third-party pixels.

Local storage

Your theme preference, saved calculations, Financial Health Score history, Money Twin profile, Trading Journal trades and your Market Racers lesson progress are stored in your browser (localStorage / IndexedDB), on your device only. Nothing is uploaded unless you turn on account sync. You can export or erase everything from the respective tool, or by clearing your browser data.

Market Racers ratings

Market Racers is the one exception to “stays on your device”. On your first visit your browser makes a random player ID and a secret key; our server keeps the ID and a one-way hash of the key. When you finish a rated race we store its result (placement, return, number of trades and how many had a stop-loss) to keep your rating, level, badges and last races. The display name you choose (or a generated one like “Racer 1A2B”) is shown on the public ranks. It's gameplay data only — never your email, or anything you typed into a calculator. Practice races never leave your device.

Account & sync (optional, end-to-end encrypted)

If you create a PaisaTools account, your data is encrypted on your device (AES-256, key derived from your passphrase or passkey) before anything is sent. Our server stores only that unreadable ciphertext against an anonymised ID — we cannot read your data, and we cannot recover it if you lose your passphrase. No email or phone number is required.

AI features

The optional AI advisor (Your Money) sends a minimised numeric summary (ratios and totals — never your name, email, account details or raw records) to our server, which forwards it to an AI model (Google Gemini or Groq) to write the advice. These summaries are processed to answer the request and are not stored by us.

Email (only if you ask)

If you subscribe to updates or set a rate alert with your email, we store that address and use it only for what you asked. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share it.
