When the July DA revision is approved, the arrear for the months already paid at the old rate comes as one lump sum. Offices and pensioners work it out in Excel every time. This sheet does it on your own basic pay or basic pension, and shows every pay level on a second sheet.

The rate is still pending
The current rate is 60% from 1 January 2026. The rate for July 2026 is not notified yet; the sheet starts at the figure the price-index formula points to and labels it as expected. When the Cabinet approves it, type the approved rate in one cell and everything updates.

Frequently asked questions
- How is DA arrear calculated?
- For each month paid at the old rate: DA at the new rate minus DA at the old rate, each rounded to the rupee, added up over the months. DA is a percentage of basic pay (or basic pension for Dearness Relief).
- Is the July 2026 DA hike approved?
- Not as of 19 October 2026. The rate the formula points to is shown in the sheet as expected; replace it with the approved rate when the order is issued.
- Does the sheet work for state employees?
- Yes. Type your state's old and new rates and the months; the defaults are central rates.
