How to check IPO allotment status

  1. Wait for the allotment day

Allotment is finalised roughly one working day after the issue closes (SEBI's T+1 timeline). The basis of allotment is usually published in the evening, so a morning check often shows nothing yet.

  2. Open the right registrar

Each IPO is handled by one registrar โ€” KFin Technologies, Bigshare, MUFG Intime, Cameo, Maashitla and others. Using the wrong one is the most common reason people can't find their application. The button above routes you to the correct registrar for that IPO.

  3. Pick the IPO, then enter one detail

Select the company in the registrar's dropdown, then enter your PAN, the application number from your broker, or your DP/Client ID. PAN is usually easiest โ€” no paperwork needed.

  4. Read the result

It shows the shares allotted, or a nil allotment. If you weren't allotted, the funds blocked in your bank are released automatically โ€” you don't have to claim them.

Every registrar, direct allotment links

Each IPO above shows its own registrar. If yours is an older issue, or you are not sure, open any of these and search by PAN โ€” between them they cover effectively every public issue.

What you need to check

  • โ€ข PAN โ€” the simplest option, and the one most registrars default to.
  • โ€ข Application number โ€” on the confirmation your broker sent when you applied.
  • โ€ข DP/Client ID โ€” your 16-digit demat account identifier.

Any one is enough โ€” you don't need all three. For a joint application, use the primary applicant's details.

Didn't get an allotment?

It's a lottery when retail applications outnumber the lots on offer โ€” applying for more lots does not improve your odds in the retail category; you still win at most one lot. Separate PANs (family members) are separate entries. Your blocked funds release automatically, so there's nothing to claim.

IPO allotment โ€” FAQ

How do I check my IPO allotment status?

Open the registrar's allotment page for that specific IPO, choose the company, then enter any one of: your PAN, the application number from your broker, or your DP/Client ID. The status shows instantly. On this page, the 'Check allotment' button for each IPO routes you to the correct registrar automatically, so you don't have to work out whether it's KFin, Bigshare, MUFG Intime or Cameo.

When does IPO allotment come out?

Under SEBI's mandated timeline, allotment is finalised about one working day after the issue closes (T+1), and listing follows about three working days after close (T+3). The basis of allotment is usually published on the registrar's site in the evening of the allotment day, so checking in the morning often shows nothing yet.

What do I need to check allotment status?

Any one of three things: your PAN number, the application number your broker gave you when you applied, or your DP/Client ID (your 16-digit demat account ID). PAN is usually easiest because you don't need to dig out the application receipt.

What happens if I don't get the allotment?

Nothing you need to do. IPO applications block funds in your bank via ASBA/UPI mandate rather than debiting them. If you aren't allotted shares, the block is released automatically and the money becomes usable again โ€” typically within a day or two of allotment being finalised.

Why does my allotment status show 'no records found'?

Usually one of three reasons: the basis of allotment hasn't been published yet (check again after evening on the allotment day), you selected the wrong IPO in the registrar's dropdown, or the detail you entered doesn't match the application โ€” for example a joint applicant's PAN rather than the primary applicant's.

Allotment and listing dates follow SEBI's mandated T+1 / T+3 schedule and are estimates until the registrar publishes the basis of allotment. Allotment status is served by the official registrar, not by PaisaTools. Informational only, not investment advice.
