Most F&F formats you can download are an HR department's layout with blank boxes. This one is from the employee's side and does the arithmetic: put in your last working day and salary, and it works out every part of the settlement, the date it was legally due, and how much of it is taxed.

- Salary for the final month: gross ÷ 30 (or 26, your company's divisor) × days worked.
- Leave encashment on basic + DA for your unused leave, with the same divisor choice.
- Gratuity: after five years for permanent staff (a part year over six months counts as a full year), pro-rata after one year for fixed-term contracts.
- Recovery for any notice period not served, unless it was waived or bought out, and any advances.
- The net amount payable, the date wages were due (two working days, with WORKDAY skipping weekends) and gratuity's 30-day date.
- Tax: the exempt part of leave encashment and gratuity, and the taxable rest.
How to fill it
- Your last working day and, if it has arrived, the date the F&F was paid; the sheet counts the working days it was late.
- Monthly gross and monthly basic + DA from your last payslip.
- Days worked in the final month, unused leave and both divisors from your company's policy.
- Notice required and served, years and months of service, and whether you were permanent or fixed-term.
The key formulas
Wages became payable within two working days of the last day on 21 November 2025, under Section 17(2) of the Code on Wages, 2019. If yours is late, the sheet's deadline row is the date to quote to HR.

- How is full and final settlement calculated?
- Add the salary for days worked in the last month, leave encashment on basic + DA, any bonus already due and gratuity if you qualify, then subtract notice-period recovery and advances. The sheet does each line with a formula you can see.
- Is leave encashment calculated on gross or basic?
- Usually on basic + DA, divided by 30 or 26 as your company's policy says, times the days of unused leave.
- How many days does the company have to pay F&F?
- For wages, two working days from the last working day, under the Code on Wages, 2019 since 21 November 2025. Gratuity has 30 days from when it becomes payable.
