Reference mid-market rate, blended from multiple live sources. It can differ by a few paise from Google or XE, and banks, cards & forex services add a 1–3% margin on top — so the amount you actually pay or receive will be a little higher.
At ₹68.93 per CAD
Canada's fast-growing Indian student and permanent-resident population has made the Canadian dollar-to-rupee corridor one of the quickest-rising. Transfers go bank-to-bank through an app to Indian savings or NRO accounts. Big-bank wires are the most expensive route; low-fee apps convert near the mid-market rate.
Check today's real rate
Note the live mid-market CAD→INR rate (shown on this page). That's the fair rate before anyone's margin — your benchmark for comparing providers.
Compare providers, not just fees
A 'zero fee' transfer can still cost more if its exchange rate is poor. Compare the rupees actually delivered for your amount across an exchange house, your bank, and a low-fee transfer app.
Add the recipient's India details
Enter the recipient's Indian bank account (savings, NRE or NRO) or UPI ID. Double-check the IFSC code and account number — a wrong digit delays the transfer.
Pay and track
Fund the transfer from your local bank and track it in the app. Most transfers to India arrive the same day or within 1–2 business days.
No Canadian tax applies to sending your own money to India. For the recipient, transfers from a close relative or to your own account are not taxable in India. Large gifts to non-relatives above ₹50,000 a year can be taxable for the recipient.
