How to use: Copy your monthly views and RPM from YouTube Studio → Analytics → Revenue, set the share of earnings from US viewers, and say whether your US tax info is filed in AdSense. Add brand deals, expenses and any salary to place the income in the right slab.
ExampleA channel with 2 lakh long-video views and 5 lakh Shorts views a month, a tenth of its earnings from US viewers — what YouTube pays, and what is left after both taxes.
Monetised channel, videos over a minute. YouTube Studio → Analytics → Views
Studio → Analytics → Revenue → RPM. Indian-audience channels commonly report ₹25–150; finance and tech sit higher, comedy and gaming lower
Shorts pay from a shared pool and run far below long videos — single-digit rupees per 1,000 views is normal
Studio → Analytics → Revenue → Geography. This slice is what US tax is withheld on
Sponsorships and paid integrations, before GST

US tax withheld: ₹203 a month. Of the Indian tax on this income, ₹0 a month is offset by it as a foreign tax credit — but only if Form 67 is filed before your ITR.
Most YouTube money calculators multiply views by an RPM and stop. That figure is real, but it is not what reaches an Indian creator's bank account. Between the dashboard and the bank there are two more cuts, and both are larger than most new creators expect.
The first is US tax, withheld by Google before it pays you, on the part of your earnings that came from American viewers — or, if you never filed your tax info in AdSense, on everything. The second is Indian income tax, because creator income is business income and lands in your slab on top of any salary. The two interact: the US tax can be credited against the Indian tax, but only if you file the form for it.
This calculator follows the money in that order, monthly, on your own numbers from YouTube Studio. It also shows the part nobody sees at all: what the advertiser paid before YouTube took its share, worked back from your RPM.
Why the numbers look the way they do, cut by cut, is in YouTuber की असली कमाई. To see your full tax picture with deductions, use the income tax calculator; to price your brand deals and freelance work, the freelance rate calculator.
Revenue shares (55% to the creator on long-form ads, 45% of the Shorts pool allocation) and the US withholding rates (15% with the India–US treaty, 30% without, up to 24%of worldwide earnings with no tax info) are from YouTube's own Partner Program and tax-withholding help pages, checked on 7 October 2026. Indian tax uses the new-regime slabs, rebate and cess from this site's income-tax engine, with the creator's share computed as the extra tax their channel adds on top of any salary. The foreign tax credit is capped at the Indian tax on the US-sourced income, as Rule 128 requires. RPM ranges quoted are what Indian creators commonly report; your own Studio figure always overrides them.
