How to read live rates
The live USD/INR figure is blended from several sources and refreshed through the day, so it can differ slightly from any single website. Gold and silver are shown as spot prices converted to rupees; the price at a jeweller adds making charges, GST and the dealer's margin.
Using price alerts
Set an alert for a level you actually care about, such as a rate at which you would send money or buy gold, rather than watching the number all day. Alerts are checked against the same blended rate shown here, and you can remove them at any time.
