Level 5 salary in hand 2026 (7th CPC)
Basic ₹29,200 से ₹92,300 तक: 63% DA, HRA, transport allowance, NPS और हाथ में आने वाली salary, X, Y और Z शहर के लिए।
केंद्र सरकार के 7th CPC Pay Matrix में Level 5 पर joining का basic ₹29,200 है। हर साल की increment आपको इसी level में एक cell ऊपर ले जाती है (करीब 3%), और आखिरी cell 40 पर basic ₹92,300 है। DA, HRA और NPS सब basic के प्रतिशत हैं, इसलिए नीचे का पूरा pay slip इसी basic से बनता है: 63% DA (1 July 2026 से), शहर के हिसाब से HRA, transport allowance और उस पर DA, फिर NPS की 10% कटौती और income tax।

- HRA: X, Y, Z शहर में basic का 30%, 20% और 10% (DA 50% पार होने के बाद की दर)। सरकारी घर या quarter मिला हो तो HRA नहीं जुड़ता।
- Transport allowance: Level 5 पर ₹3,600 + DA = ₹5,868 उन 19 शहरों में जो ऊँची दर के लिए notified हैं (8 X शहर, Ghaziabad और 10 Y शहर), बाकी जगह ₹1,800 + DA = ₹2,934। ऊपर Y शहर का हिसाब दूसरी दर पर है; Patna, Surat, Kochi, Kozhikode, Indore, Nagpur, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Kanpur और Lucknow में ऊँची दर लगती है।
- NPS: (basic + DA) का 10%, अगले पूरे रुपये तक, यानी ₹4,760 हर महीने। UPS चुनने पर भी कर्मचारी का हिस्सा यही 10% है। सरकार अपनी तरफ़ से 14% अलग डालती है, जो in-hand में नहीं दिखता।
- Income tax: new regime, tax year 2026-27, ₹75,000 standard deduction के बाद पूरे साल का tax 12 महीनों में बाँटा। इस level की joining salary पर tax शून्य बनता है।
हर साल 3% increment: अगले cells
Increment हर साल 1 जनवरी या 1 जुलाई को लगती है (joining की तारीख से तय), और basic इसी level के अगले cell पर जाता है। नीचे X शहर का हिसाब आज के 63% DA पर है; DA बढ़ेगा तो असल रकम ज़्यादा होगी। Promotion या MACP से level बदलता है, वह इसमें नहीं जोड़ा।

The higher rate applies in 19 notified cities (DoE OMs, 2017): Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, plus Ghaziabad (X-class, Delhi's HRA rate) and 10 Y cities: Patna, Surat, Kochi, Kozhikode, Indore, Nagpur, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Kanpur, Lucknow. Bhopal and Vadodara are not on it.

Today's DA (63%) is held for the +5 and +10 year columns: future DA rises and the 8th Pay Commission are not known yet, so real pay will likely be higher. CGHS, CGEGIS and post-specific allowances are not included.
